Alongside practical development, junior coaches will receive individual support while working towards a recognised coaching qualification: FA Introduction to Coaching Football. This is a paid, six-month programme designed to provide a strong foundation for a career in coaching. Upon successful completion, there may be opportunities to progress into part-time or full-time paid roles within APD.

    Part Time Sports Coach:

APD works in partnership with primary schools, sixth forms, colleges, and football clubs to deliver high-quality coaching programmes. Depending on your availability and interests, part-time roles may include extracurricular school clubs, after-school activities, or evening football coaching sessions. Applicants must hold a minimum FA Level 1 coaching qualification, with additional coaching qualifications desirable. These roles are sessional and paid per session. Successful candidates will be provided with a structured timetable in advance.

Not one APD coach has the same superpower, personality or coaching style. We do not actively hire looking for specific type of coach. The only two underlying, non-negotiable behaviours of an APD coach, is that they have a deep passion for coaching and that they are undeniably good people
