At APD, we offer a structured Post-16 football programme that allows students to pursue their academic studies alongside a full-time academy football schedule. Our aim is to support each player’s development both on and off the pitch, ensuring they are given the best possible environment to reach their full potential.
Players benefit from a professionally planned training programme that is carefully integrated around their education. This includes regular daytime training sessions, competitive weekly fixtures, and access to high-quality coaching designed to support long-term athletic development. Our coaching staff work closely with the Victory Academy students and education team, creating a strong support network built on clear communication and shared objectives. By working collectively, we ensure every player is supported in achieving their individual ambitions while meeting the standards and values of the academy.
We recognise that many talented young players may not always have the exposure required to progress within the game. Through APD, players are provided with opportunities to attend professional fixtures, development programmes, and showcase events, allowing them to gain valuable exposure to scouts and clubs within the football pathway.
Academic commitment remains a key expectation of all students enrolled on the programme. We place significant importance on education and ensure that all training sessions, fixtures, and academy activities are planned around academic timetables, enabling students to succeed in both areas.
The Victory Academy has partnered with APD to deliver a Post-16 Football Academy pathway for students entering Sixth Form. This partnership provides an excellent opportunity for motivated young footballers aged 15–16 in Medway and the surrounding areas who aspire to build a future in sport, whether that be within semi-professional, professional football, or the wider sports industry.
Progression opportunities include a range of pathways, from university degree programmes to part-time or full-time football and coaching apprenticeships with APD. Our experienced coaching staff, supported by a strong external network, work closely with each student to guide and support them in taking the next steps in both their football development and wider careers.
